Bhurtel’s Half-Century Fuels Nepal’s Charge Against PNG in Triangular T20 Series

Kathmandu, March 12: Nepali opener Kushal Bhurtel shone with a brilliant half-century to propel his team to a challenging total of 198 runs for 6 wickets against Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the ongoing Triangular T20 Series held in Hong Kong.

Electing to bat first, Nepal got off to a solid start with Bhurtel leading the charge. The right-handed batsman struck four boundaries and three sixes in his knock of 59 runs off 39 deliveries. He stitched together a crucial opening partnership before departing in the 13th over.

Nepal’s batting continued to flourish with contributions from other batters. Sandeep Zora played a quickfire knock of 56 runs from just 26 balls, peppering his innings with three fours and four sixes.

Nepal will be hoping to restrict PNG to a low total and secure a win in the triangular series.
