Amidst swirling speculations about his political allegiance, Shiv Sena’s Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Ambadas Danve, has emphatically stated his unwavering commitment to party chief Uddhav Thackeray.
Addressing recent rumors of defection to the faction led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Danve clarified, “A Shiv Sainik is always a Shiv Sainik. I am with Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray yesterday, today, and tomorrow too. All the rest are rumors!”
The clarification follows tensions arising from the potential nomination of former MP Chandrakant Khaire, a Shiv Sena (UBT) leader, from the Sambhajinagar constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Danve expressed discontent over Khaire’s candidacy, accusing him of betrayal.
Asserting his long-standing desire to contest in the Lok Sabha elections, Danve urged the party leadership to consider his aspirations. He emphasized his allegiance to Uddhav Thackeray’s vision and Hindutva principles, citing his mother’s stern warning against betraying the party’s ideology.
Despite his grievances, Danve reiterated his commitment to Shiv Sena’s cause, affirming his readiness to work for the party’s success even if Khaire is nominated. He emphasized his loyalty to Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership, dismissing speculations of aligning with Eknath Shinde.
Amidst the political turbulence, Danve’s unwavering support for Uddhav Thackeray underscores the internal dynamics within Shiv Sena, highlighting the complexities of leadership and factionalism ahead of the upcoming elections.
